College Readiness Make-Up Session:
Students who were scheduled to attend this past Saturday’s session, but were unable to make it, need to sign up in the office for a make-up session this coming Saturday, 12/12/15 from 8:00am – 11:30am.
Congratulations to Kayla Enanoria for completing the coursework for “Western Civilization: Ancient and Medieval Europe.” This edX online course was offered by Arizona State University. Participate in HOUR OF CODE!
Did you know it’s computer science week? Well if you didn’t, you know now! To celebrate, Kula Waena is participating in HOUR OF CODE 2016! Whether you’ve never written any code or you’re an expert, we have an activity for you. Simply sign up by clicking here. If you complete an HOUR OF CODE this week, you will be entered in a drawing to win a Jamba Juice gift card and will receive a certificate of participation! But remember, to be eligible, you must sign up using this link. Mrs. Cordeiro will be in front of the office during recess Tuesday-Thursday for anyone who wants to code together or if you need a little help. Middle School Sports:
Boys Basketball: No practice on Wednesday, 12/16. Practice on Fridays only at Laʻamea Gym from 3:30-5:15. 2015 12&U Basketball 1st Schedule
Golf: Practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Hilo Muni from 3:30-4:30. Transportation from school to the golf course will be provided, but parents must pick you up at the golf course after practice. Golf bags to be left in Mrs. Ah Chongʻs class before school.
