Mandatory Detention Sessions
As the trimester ends, students need to be sure to fulfill their detention obligations.  All students who still have outstanding detention on Thursday 10/29/15 will be required to attend a mandatory detention session and will NOT be attending the end-of-trimester P?’ina.  Students who still have any outstanding detention obligations at the end of the day on Thursday will be required to attend another mandatory detention session on Friday 10/30/15, which is a Teacher Workday. Transportation to and from school on Friday will be the responsibility of the student.

Pizza Luncheon Reservations

On Monday 10/26/15, students who have paid for pizza luncheon reservations with Mr. Chow will be eating lunch at the snack area tables and will NOT be reporting to the dining hall for lunch.  If you have a reservation, please bring your belongings to the office to store in our conference room … then head out to the snack area tables for pizza, soft drinks, special treats, and free reign of the tetherball poles!

In addition, some grade levels may be having grade level specific incentives with additional opportunities to “spend” your coupons.  Your coupons can also be redeemed for ‘Apu Lanakila points at the exchange rate of 10 points per coupon. Points will go towards your advisory AND your grade level.  C’mon students! Demonstrate KULEANA ,ALOHA, and MAHALO to earn those coupons.  Then decide whether to “spend” them on something for yourself or “exchange” them for ‘Apu Lanakila points!

Have you ever wondered what you are going to do after you graduate from high school?  Although that time is still a number of years away for you, it is never too early to start preparing for it.  It is never too early to start thinking about what it will take to be ready for college.  Are you interested in any of the following topics?

  • Investigating Scholarship Opportunities
  • Preparing for a College Entrance Exam

If so, please stop by the office before the end of the day on Tuesday 10/20/15 to indicate your interest.
