Students with outstanding detention (over a month old) have been assigned to a MANDATORY DETENTION session being held on Wednesday 4/15/15 from 1:45 pm – 5:30 pm.

Students with PM bus service will be able to catch the activity bus that operates according to the following evening schedule:

Prince Kuhio Plaza: Drop-off at 6:35 pm

Pahoa Marketplace: Drop-off at 6:45 pm

Volcano Store: Drop-off at 6:45 pm

Waimea KS Preschool: Drop-off at 8:00 pm

Students without PM bus service must pick up their child at the middle school bus ramp by 5:45 pm.Please contact Mr. Chow if you have any questions/concerns.

Congratulations to the advisories of Kumu Melelani Spencer, Kumu Kimo Kekua, and Kumu Ka’umi Wengler! Each of these advisories now leads their respective grade level after the spirit points from last week’s Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt were added in! Remember to check out the ‘Apu Lanakila Leaderboard athttps://sites.google.com/a/ksbe.edu/apulanakila/homeStarting this week, each advisory that finishes the week with no infractions will getenhanced bonus points added onto their total for our ‘Apu Lanakila challenge. This “Enhancement” refers to the increasing higher stakes as the school year draws near to an end:

Week of 3/30/15 No Infraction Bonus = 5000 pts (instead of the regular 1000 bonus pts. awarded prior to Panina)
Week of 4/06/15 No Infraction Bonus = 6000 pts
Week of 4/13/15 No Infraction Bonus = 7000 pts

Drama Rehearsals and 6th Grade Play:

Grade 6 theatre students have rehearsal on April 7th and 15th from 3:00-5:30.
Come and enjoy the papa `eono theatre students production of Who Me? Yes You!, a series of sketches about social responsibility on April 16th at 6:00 at the William Charles Lunalilo Center.

Middle School Sports:

Boys Basketball – Practice on MW from 3:30-5:00 and Friday from 3:30-5:30 in Laʻamea. Game on Wednesday, 4/8, at Andrews Gym at 5:30

Girls Basketball – Practice on TTh from 3:30-5:30 in Laʻamea. Game tomorrow at Andrews Gym at 5:00 and Carvalho Park at 7:15.

Golf – Practice on TTh from 3:30-5:00 at Hilo Muni Golf Course. Fun Golf Day on Saturday, April 11, at Volcano.

Cheerleading – Practice TTh from 3:30-5:30 at Keaka Playcourt.
