Attention 8^th Graders:
The KS Hawaiʻi campus 8^th grade will be cleaning up rubbish from Hilo area beaches as a service project as part of the International Coastal Cleanup Day. During this day people throughout the world are working on conserving and cleaning up beaches. This year our 8^th grade will also be collecting data on the type and amount of trash cleaned up. We will compare our data to the 8^th grade KS Kapalama class that is conducting beach cleanups on various Oʻahu beaches on the same day. Make sure students hand in permission slips to Dr. Englund by September 6.

 MS Sports Practice Days/Times:

• Boys’ Volleyball – First practice date is Mon. Sept 9, at 3:15-5:30 at La’amea Gym.  Practices are tentatively set for Mon and Tues.

 ASKMS Officers & Advisory Reps:
Meeting today right after lunch.   Please check in at Hoʻoulu and then be at Kumu Kaʻumiʻs room no later than 1:15.  Bring your folder and computer.

Our first collection of recyclables is today, outside of EAʻS  workroom in building 2. Please send 2 students from each advisory to deliver bins with paper and cardboard boxes (broken down).

REMINDER:  A missing assignment, not due to an excused absence must be turned in by Day 8.  If not turned in, you will receive a “0” for the assignment when grades are uploaded on Day 1.  Incomplete assignments are unacceptable and will also receive a “0” if the assignment is not completed by Day 8.  TODAY IS A DAY 8 so get your assignments in!
