AUTHOR LEHUA PARKER IS VISITING KULA WAENA
KS alumnus and writer Lehua Parker is coming to KS in February. She will be offering awesome reading and writing workshops, so if you’re interested in attending, sign up with your ELA teacher. Hurry because slots are limited.
Starting next week, win ‘Oi Kelakela dollars by answering questions posted in the bulletin about Aunty Lehua and her Niuhi Shark Saga Trilogy. If you haven’t read any of her books, borrow them from CRBLC. Earn bonus dollars for checking them out and book talking them with Mrs. Helm.
Be on the lookout for other exciting activities happening throughout February to prepare for Aunty Lehua’s arrival.
After school building hours:
-Between 2:40 and 2:50 pm (1:40 and 1:50 pm on Wednesdays), students are allowed to remain in the buildings only if they are using the restroom or visiting with a teacher during Office Hours.
-After 2:50 pm (1:50 pm on Wednesdays), students are only allowed in Keʻeaumoku Nui to use the restrooms after asking permission from a teacher/staff member. Students should not be loitering in Kekelakekeuokalani or Kamākaʻimoku after 2:50 pm (1:50 pm on Wednesdays).

Any students needing a baseline concussion test has the opportunity to do so today.
Students, please report to Mr. Yano’s classroom (down the hall from the high school athletic training room) no earlier than 3:30pm. Bring your laptops fully charged. Testing should take about 30 minutes. Priority will go to middle school students.
