Wrestling: Next wrestling practice will be on Thursday May 10th. There will be no practice on Tuesday, May 8th
Attention Student-Athletes!
If you are interested in participating in football (HS only), cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, soccer, diving, wrestling, baseball, softball, judo, or water polo you will need a baseline concussion test for next year. Get it done next week!
Testing will be done at Kekuʻiapoiwa (high school learning center); look for signs for check-in. Testing will be done in small groups. Appointments are not necessary and students may check-in at any time during the times listed. The test is a non-invasive computer exam that takes approximately 40 minutes to complete.
The test dates and times are:
Monday, May 14 (after school until 5:15pm)
Tuesday, May 15 (after school until 5:15pm)
Wednesday, May 16 (2pm-5:15pm)
Students that should plan on taking a baseline test are:
•Any student interested in participating in a high-risk sport for KSH that has not previously done so
•*Current 6th and 8th grade students planning on participating in a high risk sport, regardless if they have previously taken a baseline test (*Some 8th graders may have taken the test during the school day on May 3. If a valid score was recorded, they do not need to take it again.)
•Any student that has been diagnosed with a concussion since their last baseline test
If you are unable to test next week, the next and only summer opportunity is Wednesday, May 30 (10am-2:00pm).
For questions or clarification, please contact an athletic trainer at 982-0753 or kshatc@ksbe.edu
