JOIN US FOR HALE HOʻOKIPA ʻOHANA NIGHT
Kamehameha Schools prioritizes creating a supportive learning environment that values and respects all students, and supports the development of the whole child. Our Hale Ho‘okipa ‘Ohana Night gives you a chance to see some of the supports that are being provided at Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i and what this means for you and your child.
Join us on Monday, November 4 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for Hale Hoʻokipa.
Makua will attend two sessions out of three different topic areas covered including vaping, gender inclusion and social emotional learning. A quick “grab and go” dinner will be provided. The 50-minute sessions will present real and relevant information about challenges and choices facing your child.
The three sessions are:
– The Real Dangers of Vaping: What you need to know about how your keiki is being targeted
– A Supporting and Caring Kauhale for All: Dimensions of Gender and fostering a safe space for identity
– Understanding the Language and Culture of Your Child: How we empower our keiki to take the next step

Poʻalua’s Borrow Me! Halloween Book
Ask the Bones – “What is real and what is imaginary? Do evil creatures lurk in the shadows? Do demons attack the helpless? Are there such things as invisible men? For generations, storytellers have given substance to our worst fears. In Ask the Bones, master storytellers Arielle North Olson and Howard Schwartz retell a varied selection of the world’s most frightening folktales. Be warned-these stories could scare you to death!” (amazon.com)
