All redemption of ʻOi Kelakela coupons for the 2nd trimester must be completed by the end of the school day on Wednesday 2/14/18.
All outstanding detention obligations for Trimester 2 must be completed by the end of the school day on Tuesday 2/13/18.
- Any student with outstanding detention obligations will need to attend a mandatory session during the Paʻina Day Pool Party.
- If obligations still exist at the end of the day on Wednesday 2/14/18, students will be required to report to school at 7:45 am on Thursday 2/15/18 (teacher workday – no classes).
- If obligations still exist at the end of the day on Thursday 2/15/18, students will be required to report to school at 7:45 am on Friday 2/16/18 (teacher inservice day – no classes).
Transportation to/from school on Thursday and Friday will be the responsibility of individual students/families. No lunch will be provided on these days – please pack a lunch.

Give the gift of a book this Valentine’s season by purchasing gently used fiction and nonfiction titles at our book sale. Buy a book for $0.25 or purchase five for $1. Sale starts on Poʻalua, 13 Pepeluali at 7:15am and ends on Poʻakolu, 14 Pepeluali at 3:30pm. All proceeds help to fund CRBLC activities. Līpine ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi of the Week:
Celebrate Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi with the showing of The True Story of Kaluaikoʻolau. It is a dramatic documentary filmed in Hawaiian, with English subtitles, and performed by haumāna from Ke Kula Niʻihau O Kekaha Learning Center.

James Rumford is visiting KS on Poʻahā, 22 Pepeluali to speak with haumāna and kumu about his passion for writing and drawing. Come and check out our display in CRBLC and his books written in both English and Hawaiian to get a glimpse of this talented writer and artist. Be on the lookout for incentive questions that will encourage you to learn more about ‘Anakala James before his arrival.

Golf: Practices have been delayed and changed – practices will now begin on Feb. 12th and will be on Mondays and Fridays from 3:30-5:00 at Hilo Municipal Golf Course. Transportation provided to the Muni. Parents need to pick up at the Muni after practice. Please leave your golf clubs in Mrs. Ah Chongʻs room on practice days.
