PTO Scholastic Book Fair
KS is celebrating literacy, the building of home libraries, and the joy of READING from August 18th – August 25th. ELA classes will visit during school hours, but we will also be open after school. Thanks to dedicated PTO volunteers, we are thrilled to offer each student a FREE BOOK OF CHOICE during their classroom visit! Email kshbookfair@kshpto.org if you have any questions. Mahalo nui!
CRBLC Incentive Activity
Shop at our Scholastic Book Fair and earn INCENTIVE POINTS! Bring your receipt to the CRBLC as evidence and we will multiply the amount you spent by “10.” If EVERYONE in the grade level—students, teachers, counselors, EAs—purchases an item, earn a surprise BONUS amount for the entire grade level as a mahalo for supporting our PTO and literacy. Hope to see you all there!

Woodsong by Gary Paulsen – “Gary Paulsen…has flown off the back of a dogsled and down a frozen waterfall to near disaster, and waited for a giant bear to seal his fate with one slap of a claw. He has led a team of sled dogs toward the Alaskan Mountain Range in an Iditarod — the grueling, 1,180-mile dogsled race — hallucinating from lack of sleep, but determined to finish. Here, in vivid detail, Paulsen recounts several of the remarkable experiences that shaped his life and inspired his award-winning writing.”
CRBLC Movie of the Week:
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules – “Having rid himself of the Cheese Touch, Greg enters the next grade with his confidence and friendships intact, and an eye on the new girl in town, Holly Hills. But at home, Greg is still at war with his older brother, Rodrick, so their parents have handed down the toughest “punishment” imaginable – forcing the boys to spend quality time with each other.”
