Pre-Sale items: JANUARY 30, 2015

Attention c/o 2021 Parents/Ohana
Weʻre collecting 1/2 shell kukui to be used as a makana for the visiting KS Kaplama 6th graders.  Sample pictures can be found on edmodo.  Have your child show it to you.  All donations can be given your childʻs advisor.  The due date is Friday, 1/30.  If you have further questions please contact Mr. Masuko.

Creative inventions….
Can you create a new and useful item for the community out of a fantastic material?  Come to the art studio to get a sample of the material and invent with a new or repurposed item.  This invention should be able to serve the greater community with useful purpose in mind.  Winners of the contest will get a prize.  For more information or to submit ideas… please see Mrs. Nahulu Kirsch. Deadline for contest submissions is January 30th.

ʻOhana Fun Run:
There will be an ʻOhana Fun Run at Shipman Park January 31, 2015.  Registration is at 8am.  Middle school MILE run is at 10am.   This is a FREE event with entertainment, food concession, clothing giveaway, make and take activities and informational booths.  Please wear your PE uniform and bring a water bottle.  The school with the most participants will be given a perpetual trophy!   A Free Formative pass for PE will be given to those who register and run!  Please contact Mrs. Thompson if you have any questions.  lithomps@ksbe.edu.

Middle School Sports:
Boys Basketball – Practice on MW from 3:30-5:00 and Friday from 3:30-5:30 in Laʻamea.
Girls Basketball –  Practice on TTh from 3:30-5:30 in Laʻamea.
Golf – Practice TTh at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course from 3:30-5:00.
Cheerleading – Practice TTh from 3:30-5:30 at Keaka Playcourt.
Track – Practice MTWThF from 3:30-5:30 at Paiʻea Stadium.
