‘Oi Kelakela Contest
Show your spirit in one of two ways ..
- As an advisory …Think of a catchy name and logo and submit it to Mr. Chow by Friday 8/29/14 for 250 advisory and grade level spirit points (125 pts for the name and 125 pts for the logo – artwork must be submitted).
- As an individual …Think of a catchy name for our ‘Oi Kelakela “House Cup” type of challenge. Submit it to Mr. Chow by Friday 8/29/14 and earn advisory and grade level spirit points, as well as special treats for the top three individuals. Voting will be done by students as well as a committee of teachers.
Recycling begins – today during advisory. Please have students deliver recyclables to Ke’eaumoku Nui, building 2.
Wai Kaulele – classes begin on Monday, 8/25.
Bus Safety Training / Evacuation Drill
Our Kula Waena will be participating in the annual bus safety training and evacuation drill on Thursday 8/21/14 according to the following schedule:
o 2:05 pm = 6th Graders
o 2:20 pm = 7th Graders
o 2:35 pm = 8th Graders
All students need to be at the bus ramp to begin their session at the designated time, late arrivals will push everything back … so please BE ON TIME!
This quick drill is mandatory and is very important for your travel on various huaka’i, so please take it seriously and demonstrate cooperation with the bus drivers.
Friday Panina and Monday Morning Protocol
Please be sure you know when and where to place your laptops/backpacks during protocols at the huina. Look for the labeled There are diagrams posted all around campus and your advisors have the diagrams as well. Ask questions if you do not understand! Unattended laptops will be picked up and the incident will be recorded as a Level 1 infraction … thanks for helping us to keep our Kula Waena laptops safe and secure!
