Prerequisite: Successful completion of World History

Students will explore different schools of thought, beginning with ancient philosophers and investigate the evolution of thought over time and different global regions. This exploration will lead students to develop their own personal philosophies and apply it to ethical dilemmas and modern-day issues. Course topics include: Aristotle, Confucius, Kant, de Beauvoir, Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the Holocaust, Gun Control, and Middle Eastern Peace.
