CRBLC ʻAukake Incentive Activities – Final Update
Today is the last day to earn CRBLC points. Come to the Learning Center with your ‘Oi Kelakela shirt and student ID, complete a few tasks, and get 10 points!

CRBLC point standings:

Papa ‘Eono – 1645 points; Top advisory – Bowman (440 points)

Papa ‘Ehiku – 1190 points; Top advisory – Wright (320 points)

Papa ‘Ewalu – 875 points; Top advisory – Englund (320 points)

All CRBLC points will be added to the overall count tomorrow. Let’s see if it makes a difference in the advisory and grade level standings at the end of the week!

Due dates are quickly approaching:
Today, Po’akolu, 24 ‘Aukake – videos due (up to 30 points each)
Po’ahā, 25 ‘Aukake – advisor poster due (250 points)
Po’alima, 26 ‘Aukake – survey due (5 points each)

CRBLC point standings:
Papa ‘Eono – 945 points; Top advisory – Bowman
Papa ‘Ehiku – 685 points; Top advisory – Petner
Papa ‘Ewalu – 495 points; Top advisory – Rice

Today is Wednesday, August 17, Day 1 

Lunch today: Chili Nachos, cheese sauce, Sofrito Soup, sandwich and chilled fruits

ʻOi Kelakela Shirts today:
On every upload day (DAY 1), students who do not have any outstanding detention obligations may wear their ‘Oi Kelakela t-shirts with their free-dress bottoms and free-dress footwear.

  • Free-dress bottoms includes jeans, surfer shorts, and other non-uniform attire that has been approved by school administration.
  • Free-dress bottoms does NOT  include pajama bottoms, sweat pants, leggings, overly tight-fitting pants, or jeans with revealing holes.
  • Free-dress shorts/skirts for girls must extend below your fingertips when your arms are to your side!
  • Free-dress footwear includes athletic shoes of varied colors or sandals with a backstrap.  No slippers, Crocs, or slip-ons!

7th and 8th graders who want to purchase another ‘Oi Kelakela t-shirt may do so by bringing in $10 to the middle school office.

imagesHydroflasks are now allowed at Kula Waena!  Contents should be water only.  Stay hydrated!

Practice this week will be on Tuesday and Thursday. If you missed Tuesdays practice, please attend practice on Thursday.

This message is for all students who are staying on campus after 1:45 pm on Wednesdays for one of the following reasons:

  • Riding on one of the shared-bus routes & waiting for the elementary school day to end at 2:40 pm
  • Participating in rehearsals/practices/performances for Band, Percussion Ensemble, Drama, or Hawaiian Ensemble & waiting for teachersʻ meetings to end at 3:30 pm
  • Participating in practices/games for a middle school sport & waiting for coaches and/or representatives of KS Athletics to arrive

Supervision for these students will be provided in the dining hall from 1:45 – 3:30 pm.  All students will need to bring their laptops in order to log in for attendance purposes.

Students who are on campus after 1:45 pm on Wednesdays and are NOT in one of the three categories shown above will need to sign in with Kamaaina Kids.
