All students will be receiving two documents in advisory. Students need to get a parent signature on the Turnitin document and return it today.
Shoe Drive
The meat club welcomes all of you to participate in our 1st annual shoe drive. Got gently used shoes w/ laces? Donʻt use these shoes anymore? Out grew them? Well youʻre in luck, bring those shoe next week (October 27-30) and place them in the marked black bins. Youʻll see these bins located in your grade level buildings. Bins will also be located near the PE locker rooms as well at the MS office. This is trimester 1ʻs community service project. All shoes will be donated to goodwill/salvation army rather than go into our landfill. So go home and find those shoes that could be reused by someone else. See Mr. Masuko for further information.
‘Oi Kelakela Coupons
If you don’t remember to spend your ‘Oi Kelakela coupons at the school store before the end of the trimester, be sure to drop it in the buckets for our random drawings that will occur tomorrow. Names drawn from the buckets will be eligible for treats and iTunes gift cards too! COUPONS DO NOT CARRYOVER TO THE NEXT SEMESTEER!

All detention from the first trimester must be completed by Thursday 10/30/14. Students with any outstanding detention will be required to attend the following work sessions to complete the hours that have been assigned to them.
Middle School Sports:
Girls Volleyball: No practice. Check game schedule and be at the gym 30 minutes before start time.
Boys Volleyball: No practice. Check game schedule and be at the gym 30 minutes before start time.
Baseline Concussion Test on Nov.4
All students wanting to participate in soccer, basketball, wrestling, and/or volleyball, need to take a baseline concussion test.
For students that have not already taken a test for this school year, the next test is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4 at Keku`iapoiwa (the high school learning center). Check-in for middle school students is at 3:30pm. The test is first come, first served. The last group will begin no later than 5:00pm. If you miss this opportunity, the next and final test will be offered at the end of January 2015.
Students needing to take the test are sixth graders, seventh graders, students new to a high risk sport, and those who suffered a head injury since their last baseline test. Please contact an athletic trainer to verify if you need to take the test this year (982-0632).
