  • Burning Issues (at the Constitutional Convention): Answer the questions from your avatar’s perspective. Questions and group descriptions for further information are on Google Classroom. Be ready for in-class discussion. Due 3/1 (Even), 3/2 (Odd).

  • Avatar and Annotated Bibliography: Summative work. Due 2/24 (Odd), 2/27 (Even)
  • Declaration of Independence homework (in Road to Revolution booklet): Due 2/14 (Odd), 2/21 (Even). We did not look at this in class until 2/23 (Even) and 2/24 (Odd); many students were not finished. To be revisited for late credit in class asap.
  • Wanted: A Just-Right Government (covers Articles of Confederation to Constitution). In-class reading and review.

The Road to Revolution

Now that you are underway with the Avatar Project, letʻs set the stage historically for the American Revolution.

Screencasts on Google Classroom:

  1. The French and Indian War (HW assigned 1/31 odd and 2/3 even; questions in G.C. instructions)
  2. The Proclamation of 1763 (In-class 2/2 odd and 2/3 even). In-class question: What was the Proclamation of 1763 and why did it anger colonists?
  3. The Stamp Act, The Boston Tea Party, & the Intolerable Acts (HW assigned 2/2 odd and 2/3 even; questions in G.C. instructions).

For each video, answer the questions on binder paper; be ready to turn in next class.
