We have learned A LOT about identity this year.  Take a look at the anchor chart we created at the beginning of the year.  How do you think a class “Identity chart” would look if we created it now? What changes would there be? What is your NEW thinking about identity?  How is it different from what you thought at the beginning of the year?

What a wonderful message we all received from Chris Bright during ‘Ohana this morning!  I think most of us could really connect to his analogy about going through life’s tough road and meeting some potholes along the way.  What are your thoughts about his message?  Did you make any connections?

Today we talked about some ideas for our Drug Free classroom banner.  What are some of your ideas?  Share your thoughts.  And get ready for a great tug-o-war challenge! =)

We’ve started to observe the life cycle of monarch butterflies and the stages they go through as they change. What changes have you gone through since you were born? What about during your time here at Kamehameha?  What do you think is important about theses changes?

During chapel service on Friday, Kahu Cathy, Mr. Tschillard and Aha ‘Opio introduced the concept of PA’A (Positive Action Always) and reacquainted us with the Wheel of Choice.  What do these two concepts mean to you?  Why do you think it is important that we apply them in our lives?

What have you been doing since we saw each other last? Did you cheer our team on during Spirit Night? Are you going to the beach? Playing at the park? Going to the movies? Keep in touch and let us know whatcha been doin’!

You guys have been doing a FABULOUS job of keeping in touch this past week! I am so sorry that I haven’t been in contact. I was really busy last week volunteering at my former school. Today was the last day of school for their students, so now I get to check in with all of you. I miss you! Great to hear about Kristin’s game, Cayli’s trip to Vegas and Tanner’s upcoming trip. What else have you been up to? How about the Summer Reading list or the Summer Bible Reading? Anyone making any headway? I couldn’t find the books on the Summer Reading list at Border’s, but I’m gonna try to look at the State Library. I noticed some of you got on Ratty’s blog. Don’t forget to check him out all summer. What a blast! Sun, water, food and fun! The only missing pieces were Jacob, Kala’i and Kamali’i, but we ate a little extra and swam a little more while thinking of them. Mahalo to our wonderful parents for helping to make this day so special!

As Emmy said, this year was a time spent with “Good Friends” and being together at Sans Souci was a great way to celebrate!
