What is Golden Pencils Inc? It is a Kamehameha Schools publishing company for students who want to write and sell their books. Books will be sold as a fundraiser for homeless shelters, Native Hawaiian Charter Schools, purchasing phone cards for soldiers in Iraq and other good causes!

Our first book sale on December 17 & 18, 2007 in Hi`ilei Media Center!
Over 200 students wrote, illustrated and published their books for teachers, friends and family to purchase.
Every single book was SOLD OUT, raising $477 to purchase phone cards for the soldiers in Iraq to use during the holidays! Fifth grade teacher, Ms. Mara Bacon, distributed the cards for us. Click on the BOOK SALE page to view a short video and more pictures of the successful event!
Our second sale of the 07-08 school year generated $527 which was donated to Ka Waihona Native Hawaiian Charter School in Nanakuli, Above is a photo of Principal, Alvin Parker and his vice principal. Below is a photo of the school’s hula mound.
