Caldecott Celebration

After reading ten Caldecott books each, the kindergartners had a celebration in the library. They enjoyed listening to guest author, Kumu Iaea, read “Koʻu Wāwae.” Then they were able to write their own story about what their feet can do.
Mrs. Rosehill also taught the children how to draw pictures using tone and value with their brown crayons. We definitely have some artists in KA!
At the end of the celebration, each child received a book and goodie bag to take home too.
