Jeep
No, “Jeep” is not a web 2.o application. Jeep is our sound man and musician extraordinaire. He is featured on David Warlick’s latest post:

Mahalo from Dean
Aloha e Conference Participants:
Mahalo for joining us at this year’s KS Ed Tech Conference. We hope the conference exposed you to new thoughts and ideas, inspired you to embrace the tools of the read write web, and started you thinking about the road ahead – a road that David Warlick referred to as unpredictable? Good luck to you as you start blogging, podcasting, twittering and creating your very own personal learning networks. Remember what Will Richardson said, you have to learn about, adopt and use these tools before you can effectively teach and apply them with your students.
We will be updating our conference blog over the next few weeks so please be sure to check back often. Better yet, practice your RSS skills and subscribe to our blog to have the latest information pushed to you. Your thoughts, reflections and insights are important to us, so please post comments on our blog. And, most of all, please remember to fill out conference evaluations for each of the sessions you attended as well as the overall conference evaluation. You can access the online evaluation at: http://blogs.ksbe.edu/edtechconference/conference-evaluation/
For those who registered for the conference but were unable to attend, we hope to see you next year.
By the way, did you remember to email your partner from yesterday to share what you committed to doing? ☺
Mahalo,
Dean

David’s 2¢? Priceless….
An excerpt from David Warlick’s blog:
“First of all, I want to say out loud how much I enjoyed the EdTech conference in Honolulu, and not so much for the obvious reasons. Much more because of the genuine and constant kindness that was shared by everyone. The hospitality that I received there, and everywhere I went in Honolulu warmed my soul.”

those online conversations on this blog. The conference has ended ONLY in physical space….
Also, please complete your online evaluations. We would like to study them and use your feedback & input to design a better conference experience for next year.
Mahalo!

The Road Ahead….

An Email from Manchester, CT
“I know nothing about who or what you are.
Browsing through the Sprout website I went to your site ets.ksbe.edu/
edtechconfrence (kukulu kaiaulu 2.0), I believe to see examples of
multiple pages.
Once there I simply clicked on the schedule tab.
Wow… by going through your schedule items and reading the
abstracts I discovered 22 references to Web apps I did not know
about. This astounded me. Whoever you are, or what ever your
organization you should be commended for forging such a provocative
program. How interesting that my personal interest in Sprout
technology brought me into your site’s promotion of pedagogy on the
same, and very similar, yet diverse subjects. Very well done, I’ll
bet your participants loved it! Mahalo!
I am a fifty seven year old student of the new and bold, have a
degree in Business (Lewis & Clark ’79, Portland) and happen to be
very interested in bringing my video and web experience into my
community schools.”
Hitchhikr
David Warlick has graciously set up a hitchhikr site for our conference. It’s a great way to track the conference (or for your friends and colleagues to track the conference remotely.) Tag your Flickr photos, blog posts, and YouTube videos with “kukulukaiaulu2.0” or “edtechconf” and they will be displayed on the hitchhikr site. Please visit:
Flickr Photostream
