Buzzing About Bees

I am sure if you check out the other school blogs, chances are you will have come across a blog similar to this. Yesterday our K/1 courtyard was swarmed by a moving colony of bees. After securing the keiki safely inside our lobby, we were able to take a closer look through the windows as the bees settled onto a ti plant then were later transferred into a bee box by a beekeeper brought in from Volcano. Needless to say, that was what we learned the most about this week.
Bee learning continued today taking notes from a story, sharing our learning and organizing our thoughts onto a thinking map. Enjoy our pictures and short video!
