This Week At School 1/7-1/11/13

One of the activities at school this week was hearing and responding to the story, Too Many Mangos. This is a wonderful story to teach about the gift of sharing. The keiki related to this big idea and connected it to the meaning of mahalo as well. As it turned out, I was gifted a very large papaya the night prior to this lesson and decided to share it with the students as they heard this story. The keiki also had the opportunity to try it in different ways just as the characters in the book used the mangos differently too. Enjoy some pictures of our students and their work.
