Mahalo Hawaiian Springs

Kumu Kaleo and Kumu Littrell thought that a huaka‘i to the Hawaiian Springs water plant would be a terrific tie-in to our study on the Puna district since we have learned that one meaning of Puna is Spring of Water. Alas we were told that the company cannot accommodate us due to liability issues. However, to our surprise and delight, the company kind of brought the field trip to us! They sent pictures of what it looks like in the factory and delivered 4 cases of their delicious water for the keiki to try and share with their ‘ohana. As a bonus, we were also given the capsule that is used to make the water bottles. What an interesting experience!
Mahalo to Hawaiian Springs for their generosity and support to our learning here at school!
