As we move toward Founder’s Day and continue to practice our songs, scriptures, and passages for this special day, we are beginning a unit focused on

“Perpetuating the Legacy”

that Pauahi has established through her will, that affects each child of Hawaiian ancestory and in particular, the students of Kamehameha Schools.  Our goal is to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of our kuleana as “good and industrious men and women”, as we live out Pauahi’s legacy.

Homework:

1)  Pauahi Articles: 1 and 2

  • Highlight any references to Pauahi, including pronouns such as she, her.
  • Go back to the highlights and in your tablet, write down notes on information shared about Pauahi.
  • Circle any unfamiliar words in the two articles.
  • See green Assignment Sheet that you glued in your tablet.
