If Jesus paid the price to make us free and in Him we have the forgiveness of our sins (Colossians 1:14);
and if we are saved by grace through faith (in what Jesus did on the cross), and there is nothing we do to earn salvation but it’s God’s gift to us (Ephesians 2:8);
and if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)…
Then why is still important to live pono lives?

How we live still affects other people. Also you cant truly repent if you keep doing what you ask for forgiveness for. It is important to live pono because we want to be a good example for non believers and also so we can have a good testimony.
I think it is important to live pono even though Jesus paid it all for us is because we should be examples of Christ. Everybody relies on each other and we all need to make our community a better place.
even though if we do wrong and can be forgiven our purpose in life is not to choose the wrong but it is instead to choose right. Plus when choosing wrong it still hurts Jesus and the Lord so why do wrong when you can do right
