Ohana Alert for Weeks of Feb. 26-March 9

March already! The students & I have been discussing the “swim” to the finish in class.  Trimester #3 is the call to action!  It is when the students synthesize all the learning from the beginning of the school year to showcase their learning! Where the foundations laid (kahua) are built upon.  Here are some important things to know:

*Students planners will be documenting assignment timeline deadlines.  Checking and signing daily would be appreciated.  Students are given class time to write in it daily.

* Students will be showing their learning in many K-12 tri-campus performance assessments during tri #3.  Research is a huge part of it & students should use assigned time (class/home) to be ready.  Fact collections on math assessment beginning this week.

*Deadlines for assignments are planned to allow students ample time to complete & some “breathing room” to accomodate the many extra curricular activities, but will be firm.  Grades will be impacted if missed according to handbook.

*Our Papa ʻElima capstone project: Makawalu 2018: Ka wai ola, Ke kai ola is on April 16 &17.  Ohana invited on Tues., April 17 @1:15pm, please save the date to join us to see all the learning!
