Jump For Heart 2011

MAHALO A NUI LOA TO ALL THE FAMILIES WHO ENCOURAGED YOUR KEIKI AND GAVE TO SUCH A GREAT CAUSE!

Jump For Heart Day was a success thanks to you the families, the faculty and staff, and to all the keiki who come and give generously and jump their hearts out.  According to Amanda Raimo, we had over $2,400.00 in online donations already.  It is an honor to be associated with such generous families as they give to such a great cause.

The students learn about the benefits of jumping rope for the body and how it can be a healthful lifetime activity for all.  Grades K-5 learn a variety of jump skills and practice with enthusiasm through out the unit of jump rope in anticipation of participating in the American Heart Association Jump for Heart Program.   They also learn the practice of kahiau as they acquire donations for a great cause. The event is done during our jump rope unit in P.E. where the students practice and hone their skills and endurance in preparation for the “Jump Day”.

Everyone, students, teachers, parents and administrators join in to enjoy jumping, fun contests, music and great company for a great cause!   Mahalo nui once again for your generosity and all that is given.
