Taco Dip-Caela

IMG_1051Ingredients:

  • 160z. can refried beans (1)
  • 16oz. tub sour cream (1)
  • 16oz. tub of guacamole (1)
  • Package of taco seasoning mix (1)
  • Can of olives (1)
  • Package of shredded cheese (1)
  • Tomato (1)

Directions:

  1. Spread refried beans evenly on the bottom of the pan.
  2. Mix sour cream and taco seasoning mix in a bowl.
  3. Spread the combination evenly over the refried beans.
  4. Spread the guacamole evenly over the sour cream mixture.
  5. Spread cheese evenly over guacamole.
  6. Cut up tomatoes and spread evenly over cheese.
  7. Open can of olives and spread evenly over tomatoes.
  8. Refrigerate before serving.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips.

Banana Lumpia-Caela

  • 20 lumpia wrappers
  • 5 whole bananas (cut into quarters)
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Canola oil (for frying)
  • Powdered sugar (optional)

 

Directions:

  1. Cut bananas into quarters.
  2. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and coat bananas with the mixture.
  3. Take 1 lumpia wrapper and 1 banana (quarter) and place banana in the bottom corner of lumpia wrapper. Fold in left and right side then roll up from bottom.
  4. Deep-fry on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve while still warm.
  5. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of banana lumpia. (optional)

Tips: When you are cutting the bananas, cut it first, the long way and then cut it in half.

Flavored Pretzels-Alliyah

Ingredients-

1 jar (36 oz.) Utz Honey Wheat Pretzels

3/4 c. butter flavored popping oil

1 1/2 Tbs. Ranch Dressing powder

1 Tbs. garlic powder

1 Tbs. dill weed

Place pretzels in large zip loc or bowl with a lid.

Pour oil over pretzels and shake or mix well.

Mix dressing powder, garlic powder and dill in a

small bowl. Pour the mix in the bag and

shake/mix until pretzels are evenly coated.

 

Place pretzels in large baking pan. Bake 250

degrees for 15 minutes. Turn oven off and leave

in oven for 5 min. Remove and lay on large paper

grocery bag to cool before placing in containers.

Brownies-Canaan

Ingredients

-1 cup of butter

-2 cups of white sugar

-4 eggs

-2 teaspoons vanilla extract

-2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

-1 cup all-purpose flour

-1/2 teaspoon salt

-1/2 teaspoon baking powder

 

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.

2.In a large saucepan, melt the 1 cups of butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and 2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 2/3 cup of cocoa, 1 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.

3.Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.

Butter Mochi-Jami

 1 Box of Mochiko- 1lb.

1 Block of butter- melted and cool

1 (12oz.) can coconut milk

2 cups of milk

5 eggs

2 ½ cups of sugar

3 tsp. of baking powder

1 tsp. of vanilla extract

 

Instructions:

Butter pan 9 inch by 13 inch pan.

Mix all of the above ingredients and break up lumps.

Bake for 45 minutes at 325 degrees.

NOTE: Butter must be smooth.

Banana Bread-Jami

1 cup of margarine or butter

2 cups of sugar

6 ripe bananas, mashed

4 eggs, beaten

2 ½ cups of flour, sifted

2 teaspoons of baking soda

Optional: ¾ cup of walnuts

 

Directions:

  1. Cream margarine and sugar.
  2. Add bananas and the beaten eggs
  3. Sift the remaining dry ingredients.
  4. Blend the creamed mixture but do not over mix.
  5. Optional: Mix in walnuts.
  6. Pour into foil lined loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 325 degrees for 45- 50 minutes.
  8. Turn the pan around after 35 minutes.

Chex Mix-Danny

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes of Rice Chex
  • 2 boxes of Corn Chex
  • 2 boxes of Honey Comb
  • 1 bag of pretzels
  • 1 bag of Bugles
  • 1 lb. of Butter
  • ½ teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 cup of Sugar

You will also need two large foil pans.

 

1. Preheat Oven to 250°F

2. Mix the Butter and the Sugar in a large pot with the stove heat on low.  With the stove still on, add in the Lea and Perrin sauce and the Garlic Powder.  Continue to stir until the butter is melted.

3. In each of the foil pans, put one box of Rice Chex, one box of Corn Chex, one box of Honey Combs, half of the bag of pretzels and half of the bag of Bugles.

4. Add in half of the sauce to one pan and half to the other.

5. Cook Party Mix for one hour, mixing it in 15-minute intervals.

6. ENJOY!!!

TIPS

  • You can make extra sauce to add more flavor the Party Mix.

Brownkie-Danny

Ingredients

Brownie Mix

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2/3 vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • Cookie Dough

 

1.  Preheat oven to 350°F

2.  In a large bowl, stir together the brownie mix, water, vegetable oil and the eggs until it is well blended

3.  Pour batter into a greased 13 by 9 inch pan

4.  Get cookie dough and flatten it in your hand and lay it on top of the unbaked brownie mix.  Continue this until it is there is a layer of cookie dough over the brownie mix.

5.  Cook until cookie is golden brown

6.  ENJOYYYYYY!!!

TIPS

  • You can cook it for a little longer if you don’t want it to be too chewy.

Dirt Cups-Paris

Ingredients-

–      5 boxes of instant chocolate pudding

–      1 pack of Oreo cookies, crushed

–      1 bag of chocolate chips

–      2 cups of cold milk per pudding box

–      2 bags of gummy worms

–      1 spoonful of Cool Whip or whipped topping

Directions-

–      Follow pudding directions on the box to make the pudding

–      Let the pudding sit for 5 minutes

–      Place a scoop of pudding in each cup to create the 1st layer

–      Next, layer the whipped topping and the chocolate chips on top of the pudding for the 2nd layer

–      Place 1 spoonful of crushed Oreos into the cups for the 3rd layer

–      Refrigerate for 1 hour

–      Garnish with the gummy worms or any of your favorite candies

–      Place 1 plastic spoon into each cup

–      Enjoy your yummy and fun dessert!!!

Cornbread-Lea

2 cups of Bisquik

2 sticks of room temperature butter

2 eggs

1 cup of milk

1 cup of sugar

1/4 cornmeal

 

Pre-heat oven 360º degrees

Spray pan with PAM

Add all dry ingredients (Bisquik, Sugar, Cornmeal)

Add all wet ingredients (Butter, milk, eggs)

Mix ’till smooth with whisk

Bake in oven for 40 minutes

 

Tips: If top starts to brown too much put aluminum foil on top
