Library Borrowing Policy

A maximum of 5 items may be checked out from the Learning Center at any time.

Loan periods & late assessment fees:

*2 weeks for general collection

$0.10 per day for each item

*1 week for Hawaiian collection

$0.50 per day for each item

*2 days for DVD, CD, video collection

$1.00 per day for each item

Library materials can be renewed for another loan period if there is no hold on the item.

Students will be notified by email when materials are overdue. Students will receive 2 email reminders before it becomes an obligation.

Lost Library Books Policy

Payment for lost books (cost is per book)

*$25.00 + $5.00 service fee for general collection

*Replacement cost + $5.00 service fee for Hawaiian collection

*OR replace book + $5.00 service fee

Service fee is NOT refundable. All obligations are to be paid at Keku`iapoiwa Learning Center.

Textbook Policy

Student IDs are required to check out textbooks from the LC. Return textbooks when you are done to the LC.

*If textbooks are returned by someone else, a $5.00 lost textbooks fee is applied to your account.

*All semester books not returned by the end of the first semester, will be assessed a $5.00 late textbook fee. You will be notified prior to the assessment fee being applied to return your textbook.

IMPORTANT: Hold on to your book that was checked out to you. Know your book number.
