Microsoft Outlook
Overview
Microsoft Outlook is the primary email inbox that students use to access their KS school email, view and send emails, organize their calendar, and stay connected with teachers and classmates. It brings together email, scheduling, and notifications in one place, making it easy to keep track of assignments and school updates. Students should use Outlook to check regularly check their emails and send emails. Please check your Outlook email inbox daily.

Login
DESKTOP APP:
- On the left side of your Mac’s dock that is on the bottom of the screen, find the “Apps” icon on the left side and open it.
- Search for “Microsoft Outlook” and click on it to open the desktop application.
- If you are not yet logged in, please sign in with your KS email address and password.
- You need to set MS Outlook as your Mac’s default email application. Please follow these steps to do so:
- On the left side of your Mac’s dock that is on the bottom of the screen, find the “Apps” icon on the left side and open it.
- Search for “Self Service” and click on it to open the application.
- On the left-hand side of Self Service, search for “Set MS Outlook default app.”
- Click on “Install.” It can take up to 1-2 minutes for the process to install. (Note: If it says “Reinstall,” then you can disregard and skip Step 4).
- After the installation, there will be four pop-ups:
- 1) Click “Ok”
- 2) Click “Use Outlook”
- 3) Click “Use Outlook”
- 4) Click “Done”
- MS Outlook is now your Mac’s default mail app. You may quit out of Self Service.
WEB VERSION:
- Visit the Microsoft Apps portal in your browser at https://myapps.microsoft.com.
- If you are not yet logged into Microsoft in your browser, you will be redirected to the Microsoft login page.
- Click on your KS (@imua.ksbe.edu) email address, or enter it into the email address field.
- Enter your password and click “Sign in.”
- In the Microsoft Apps dashboard, search for “Outlook.”
- Please bookmark https://outlook.office.com/mail/ in Chrome so that you can regularly access your Outlook email inbox.
