  1. When and where do parents take the online test? Does this need to be done prior to my sons laptop training date?

  2. Aloha Chanda, the parent online test is in the works and we will send out an email to all parents once it is complete. You do not need to complete this prior to the student training and distribution session. We suggest that parents be familiar with the handbook before the students bring home their KS-issued computer so you know what to expect. Mahalo.

  3. Just wondering where we mail the training acknowledgement form. Please advise. Thank you.

  4. please mail forms to your respective unit offices:
    – unit 9-10: 1887 Makuakane St,, Paki Office
    – unit 11-12: 210 Girls Road, Smith Office

  5. Aloha,
My son will be gone to a wrestling camp out-of-state from July 26 through August 9. All choices for rescheduling laptop roll-out fall within the time his is away. Please advise.
    Mahalo!

  6. Aloha,
We will have limited make-up sessions available the first week of instruction, after school. Your student is encouraged to report to their grade level Print and Repair Center on their first day to see what’s available. If they catch a bus they may need to make arrangements for other transportation.

  7. Aloha,

I clicked on the rescheduling link and I am getting “This survey is currently closed.”

    Please advise.

  9. My daughter had the laptop training for summer school but then didn’t receive a laptop since it wasn’t required of her class. She was told she could just pick up the laptop since she already had training. Is she able to pick it up at mini-registration? (Just trying to avoid taking off work twice if it’s unnecessary). Thank you!

  10. Aloha,

Students who attended the 2014 KS Summer School 1:1 training sessions will be permitted to pick-up their computers once their test score is verified by PRC staff. Once verified, they will have to complete a checklist ensuring the computer is good working order before taking it home.

  11. Aloha,

Due to both my husband’s and my work schedule we are having difficulty with my daughter’s scheduled pick up time on Monday, 28Jul14. However, we have another daughter who has a scheduled pick up time on Wednesday, 30Jul14, is it possible to change my daughter’s Monday pick up to Wednesday?

  12. Aloha,

Unfortunately, Freshmen have a different training session and exam than returning upperclassmen. Please see the posted rescheduling link for alternative training sessions for new invitees and freshmen. We hope you are able to find a session that fits your schedule.

  13. My daughter was issued her laptop and did a checklist but somehow inadvertently overlooked a dent on the corner. How can this be reported and added to the checklist that was already submitted?

Will insurance be offered for the laptops?

    Thank you,
    Mrs. maka

  14. Aloha,
The best thing to do would be to report the dent to her Print & Repair Center. Checklists cannot be amended once submitted but Mr. Castro can make note of it in our records.

  15. I just received the flyer regarding the Laptop rollout date and time for my son. I just wanted to know, if I can park and wait for him, is there parking nearby? or is it better to drop him off and come back 45 min later?

    Please advise

  16. Aloha,
Will my son be able to pickup his laptop as scheduled if he still has his medical clearance pending? His physical is scheduled for after his scheduled laptop roll out time.

  17. Aloha,

Unfortunately, students must be cleared medically before being on campus. If you have further questions please contact Hale Ola or your students unit office.
