Global Protect

Overview

Global Protect is a gateway for the KS network. Connecting to Global Protect on your school-issued Mac laptop is required to access the internet.

Access & Eligibility

    • KS Students
    • Faculty and Staff

Login

  1. On the top menu bar of the Mac, click on the globe icon on the right-hand side of the menu bar.
    • If the popup says “Connected,” then you have successfully connected to Global Protect.
  2. On the initial screen, enter “gp.ksbe.edu” in the portal address field and select “Connect.”
  3. You will be redirected to a login screen. Please login with your KS username and password, and select “Connect.”
    • NOTE: Your KS username is NOT your email address or name. It is your k27. . ., k28. . ., k29. . ., k30. . ., username (depending on your graduation year).

I am trying to disconnect from Global Protect, but it asks for a passcode.

Please do not disconnect from Global Protect. Connection to Global Protect is required for internet connectivity.

I am trying to connect to Global Protect, but it does not connect and continuously loads.
  1. Please ensure that you are connected to a stable and reliable WiFi connection. Then, you can login to Global Protect with the instructions above.
  2. If you are connected to the KS or home WiFi and are still unable to connect, please disconnect from the WiFi and shutdown your device. You may then restart your device and re-connect to WiFi. After connecting to WiFi, please attempt to login to Global Protect again with the instructions above.
  3. If you are still unable to connect, then it is likely an issue with the WiFi network that you are connected to. If you are connected to the home network, please reset your router or contact your internet provider.
