If a teacher or other Kapālama
campus staff is unable to calm an out of control student or parent, contact the Principal, Vice-principal or designee, Kapālama
campus security.
Protect students at the scene.
Contain unrest. Seal off area of disturbance.
If further assistance is needed, support personnel at the Kapālama campus (counselors, psychologists, social workers) can be requested to talk to the student to attempt to calm him/her down.
Parents should be notified and asked for assistance if a student continues to be out of control.
If the student or parent cannot be calmed down and is a danger to their self or others, law enforcement should be contacted for assistance (9-911).
