Emergency Response Guidelines

• Take ALL threats seriously.
• Protect students at the scene.
• Notify the principal or designee of any threat.
• Notify the Security Department.
• Kapālama Campus administration and/or Security Department should conduct a preliminary interview with the student.
• If an imminent danger is perceived, contact law enforcement (9-911).
• Notify the parent(s) and have them report to the Kapālama campus.
• Document all actions taken, noting the names of those involved and the date actions were taken.
• Notify law enforcement and Security Department if certain crimes/violence are committed.
