You may report any on-campus incident or emergency to the Security Office at  28320 or 28332 from any KS telephone on Kapālama campus. You can call the main gatehouse 24-hours a day at 28332 for the services of a security officer and request needed assistance or provide information. In addition, during normal business hours, on-campus callers may also contact the Kapālama campus operator by dialing “0.” The operator will communicate the emergency to security. To reach security from off-campus, dial 842-8320 or 842-8332. If we are experiencing a network outage call 808-843-2023 to contact the main gatehouse.

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to report all unsafe or suspicious activities and/or non-KS persons observed on Kapālama campus. Such calls should be made promptly to improve officers’ ability to locate suspects and/or prevent potential problems. Upon receipt of a call, officers are dispatched immediately to the site of the incident or emergency. All incidents will be investigated and a report is filed by the investigating officer.

Staff members have a duty to promptly report all direct or indirect threats and/or violence as soon as possible to available on-site security, their supervisor or other supervisory members of their department.

In cases of the appearance of imminent physical harm to anyone, the police should be notified immediately by calling 911.
