May Day is Lei Day in Hawai’i!

Are you ready for Ho’olokahi?  We will be having a 6th grade rehearsal on April 30, 7:50-8:10am, on the basketball courts.  Ho’olokahi will be on Friday, May 2 at 9am.  Don’t forget to give your parents their parking pass!  Have a great cycle!

Here is the tentative schedule for cycle 22:

Day 1, Thurs., April 24

Today we voted on our favorite land legacy poster for each class.  You can view them in the atrium.  I passed back your Land Legacy Project.  Overall, you did well.  Any revisions need to be turned in by May 1.  I also collected the second copy of your Land Lineage Project reflection, so I can give it to Mrs. Kahue for your memory book.

Homework:  Get parent signature for project  Due Day 2 (4/25)

IXL-Fractions  Due Day 6 (5/1)

Day 2, Fri., April 25

Today I will pass back Math Reflection p.15.  Overall, the classes did very well.  Put it in your portfolio behind the tab for BPII.  I will also pass back the Check-Up quiz, and we will will go over it.  Get it signed tonight, and all corrections are due by May 2.  Then, we will work on 3.1 and 3.2 which is about multiplying fractions.

Homework:  Get parent signature for Check Up; Finish 3.1 & 3.2; ACE p.40 #1-3, 6-8, 10, 36-39  Due Day 3 (4/28)

Day 3, Mon., April 28

Today I will check for the parent signature on the Check Up quiz, and we will put it in your Math portfolio.  We will check 3.1, 3.2, and the ACE from Friday.  Then we will learn about modeling multiplication situations in 3.3.

Homework:  Finish 3.3; ACE p.41 #11-14, 40-45  Due Day 4 (4/29)

Day 4, Tues., April 29

Today we will check 3.3 and the ACE from Monday.  Then, we will work on 3.4.

Homework:  Finish 3.4; ACE p.43 #18-20, 46, 47  Due Day 5 (4/30)

Day 5, Wed., April 30

Today we will check 3.4 and the ACE from Tuesday.  Then, we will work on 3.5 (writing a multiplication algorithm).

Homework:  Finish 3.5; ACE p.43 #21-33  Due Day 6 (5/1)

Day 6, Thurs., May 1

Don’t forget to see me before school today to get your planner signed.  Be sure your IXL is done for this cycle by 7am.  Today we will check 3.5 and the ACE problems from Wednesday.  We will then work on the rough draft for Math Reflection p.47.

  1. I’m going to wear a plumeria lei. I chose that because it smells good and I think that it’s better than Kukui nut leis.

    After hoʻolokahi, do we go home with our parents or do we go back to school? If we go back to school, when are we let out and do we take normal transportation?
