Mrs. Alamida was born and raised on Oahu, in Kaimuki. She went to Koko Head Elementary before attending Kamehameha Intermediate for 7th grade. Mrs. Alamida graduated from Kamehameha in 1991, then she attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She graduated from BYU in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. After college, Mrs. Alamida taught elementary school in Utah for 6 years. Then, she moved to Kauai with her family and taught there for 6 years. After moving back to Oahu in 2008, she taught at Kaneohe Elementary for 3 years before teaching at Kamehameha.
Mrs. Alamida has 2 daughters and a dog. She stays busy teaching 6th grade, working with the young women in her church, and being a mom. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, getting pedicures, and reading a good book.

Utah was fun. I loved being able to see the different seasons. I like how the leaves change color in the Fall.
