Happy Easter!

Spring is in the air.  I love Easter, because it reminds me of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and hope.  This cycle we are going to Maluhia and sharing our talents with them.  We are also going to see the 5th grade play.  Plus, we have no school on April 18 and 21 because of Easter.  If you’re interested in playing football in middle school, there will be a meeting in my room on April 23.  Here’s a tentative schedule for Cycle 21:

Day 1, Fri., April 11, 2013

Today we will check 2.1 and the ACE homework from yesterday.  We will work on 2.2 which is all about adding and subtracting fractions.

Homework:  Finish 2.2; ACE p.25 #4, 6-12, 30-35  Due Day 2 (4/14)

IXL (U, V, W)  Due Day 6 (4/23)

Day 2, Mon., April 14, 2013

Today we will check 2.2 and the ACE homework.  We will work on 2.3, including fact families.

Homework:  Finish 2.3; ACE p.25 #14-18, 41-44  Due Day 4 (4/17)

Day 3, Tues., April 15

No Math today!  Today we will share our talents and visit with the patients at Maluhia Hospital.

No Homework!

Day LN, Wed., April 16

Today we will watch the 5th grade play.

No Homework!

Day 4, Thurs., April 17

Today we will check 2.3 and the ACE homework from Monday.  We will also work on 2.4, including algorithms.

Homework:  Finish 2.4;  ACE p.26 #19-25, 46, 47  Due Day 5 (4/22)

Day 5, Tues., April 22

Today we will check 2.4, check the ACE homework from Day 4, and work on Math reflection p.31.

Homework:  Math Reflection p.31 final draft  Due Day 6 (4/23)

Day 6, Wed., April 23

Today we will turn in Math reflection p.31, review investigations 1 and 2, and take a quiz on investigations 1 and 2.

  1. I learned how to estimate with fractions and how to add fractions when we did the flower garden lab sheet assignment.

    • Also the over estimating and under estimating. Mrs. Alamida, my sister messed up corn chowder too! But it was with pepper.

    • I learned how to add and subtract fractions, and when to use fractions in real life, not just math problems.
