Learning Cycle

Pono sharing his Techie Mana'o with Randon

Everything is a cycle. Ever heard the saying, “What goes around, comes around?” Well, that is what happened in our 5B fishbowl.  Some students were using the Kindles, Nooks, & iPads in class during SURF time. I keep track of pages they read during that time, a student said, “I can’t tell you what the page # is from the book, only the reader page.” (Teamwork is promoted in every form of the word & a new team leader can arise at anytime.)  As I sat there dumbfounded, in jumps a new leader, “I know how to do it, let me show you how!” Another student chimes in & wondered out loud’ “Why does it do that?” Another says, “I know why, its because you can change the font size and therefore the reader adjusts the pages!” Wow, the cycle of learning! I not only learned how to get page numbers off the reader, why it was not aligning to begin with, but that we all can take the lead to learn in the 21st century! We teach, we learn!  Imua!
