Students had a frightfully spooktacular Halloween celebration today!
It all began when they were treated with excellent student-written skits by our Middle School Drama class.
Then, students decorated a magnetic photo frame (later to put their Halloween photo into!)
The students heard Halloween stories, read aloud, as well as on DVD:”Slightly Scary Stories.”
After a delicious and nutritious lunch at our dining hall, and a game of kickball, students changed into their costumes. They all looked marvelous!
The Costume Parade was fabulous and students not only enjoyed collecting goodies on the way, they really liked “checking out” everyone else’s getups! When we returned, we had a super celebration, and watched, “Spookley, The Square Pumpkin” while snacking on popcorn and juice.
At the very end of the day, the parents, who had come to help, presented the students with their photo, in their Halloween costume, in their own personally-decorated magnetic frame!
After a fun last dance to “Monster Mash” the bell rang, and off they went for more fun at family gatherings, church celebrations, or an evening of trick-or-treating!
No doubt, it was a fabulous day in Second Grade! Mahalo parents and ‘ohana, who joined us and helped with this marvelous celebration!
