Our Hāmākua huaka’i

We went on a huaka’i to Hāmākua. Me and my class learned about Laupāhoehoe point and Akaka falls. At Akaka falls we went hiking and took pictures of grass lands which is called greenery. Greenery means when there’s lots of grass.In Laupāhoehoe we took pictures of lots of really nice things. On our huaka’i wē meet a lady called aunty Lucile. Aunty Lucile told us how she survived the tsunami. She said to survive a tsunami is to go to higher ground. And aunty Lucile told us 24 people died from the tsunami.

Jump Rope for Heart

This is a short story of jump rope for heart. Miss Lee let us get prizes if we won the competitions for the last ones standing. There is lots of ways to do jump roping there is something called forward jumping, backward jump roping, one foot jump roping and much more. There is two kinds of jump ropes one is the little ones the other one is called a long rope jump. On jump for heart was also aloha wear day but Miss Lee didn’t want the girls to trip over there dresses so they could wear short dresses or wear there uniform. It was really fun. We jumped rope for all our families and people who have heart conditions.
