Papa ʻEkahi-Aloha, Hilinaʻi, and Pilina

First graders recently had a lesson about the story of Ruth and Naomi. It’s a story of pilina, a relationship of a young daughter in law, Ruth, and her kupuna mother in law, Naomi. Students were asked to find places in the moʻolelo where they could see love, trusting/hilinaʻi or having faith in God, and where they saw pilina. They did a great job expressing their manaʻo on their “quick card” assignment.
