This book is about a boy named Huck who goes through many adventures and life threatening situations. After being kidnapped by his father he fakes his own murder and runs away. While he is traveling alone down the Mississippi River he runs into many people and goes through many adventures. He traveled with Jim, a run-away slave, and two con artist who he helps con others and ends up going against them to protect a girl he admires. He often gets into a lot of trouble and cheats death. From time to time Huck hangs out with different people. The different people he stays with influence him and he goes back and forth staying out of trouble and getting into trouble. A theme for this story is to choose the right people to hang out with. This book is full of adventures that never end.

“My plan is this, We can easy find out if it’s Jim in there. Then get up my canoe tomorrow night, and fetch my raft over from the island. Then the first dark night that comes, steal the key out of the old man’s britches, after he goes to bed, and shove off down he river on the raft, with Jim, hiding day times and running nights, the way me and Jim used to do before. Wouldn’t that plan work?”
