The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIRV) of the sufficiency of Jesus.

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.’ So I am very happy to brag about how weak I am. Then Christ’s power can rest on me.  Because of how I suffered for Christ, I’m glad that I am weak. I am glad in hard times. I am glad when people say mean things about me. I am glad when things are difficult. And I am glad when people make me suffer. When I am weak, I am strong.”

“When I am weak, I am strong.” Honestly this makes no sense to me but if I were to make sense of it, it would mean that when people tease you, you remember that God is always with you and therefore you don’t need revenge. You remember that God has a plan for you and when you feel “bad” things are happening to you, it’s inevitable for God’s plan for your future.

What I think this bible verse is trying to get accros is that God is there for you when you are weak and will always support you. In the last line of this verse “When I am weak, I am strong.” tells how he knows that when he becomes week God will be there to support him and lift him up. People can use this verse as a way of resurance that God will protect you and keep you safe.

I agree with these verses because I know that whatever trial or circumstance I face I can give it all to God; He is and always will be there for me. I can honestly say that He is my strength when I am weak; and though, at times, it seems next to impossible to just drop everything and give it all to God I know that all it takes is a little faith and trust and He’s got it. And recognizing the fact that God is so powerful that I know I can lean on Him in times of trouble/need shows a sense of submission because I know He’s in control. That is what those versus mean to me in life.
