Welcome to Student Publications & Photography

Ka Naʻi Aupuni: Yearbook
Students plan and design the school yearbook (Ka Naʻi Aupuni) and the newspaper (Ka Mōʻī), both of which serve as the student body voice. Meet Mrs. Lynnete Mercado of Ka Naʻi Aupuni (Yearbook). Ka Na’i Aupuni allows students to use their creativity toward creating the annual yearbook. They get involved throughout the entire process — from brainstorming to taking photos, writing intros/captions and laying out the yearbook.
Ka Mōʻi: Newspaper
As the voice of the campus, Ka Mo’i (newspaper) gets students out into the community when covering current events and allows them to experience all aspects of the newspaper — from reporting to taking photos, writing, editing and laying it out. Meet Mr. Lionel Barona, Advisor of Ka Mōʻi.
Visual Arts: Photography Class
Photography is a part of the visual arts department, but the class is taught in Midkiff. Mrs. Lynnete Mercado and Ms. Ualani Davis are the instructors for this class where students have access to cameras, a photo lab, and dark room. Please visit the visual arts site to find out more about Photography.
