HW for 4/24 and 27

Complete Koa Planting Reflection. In your google science folder, create a new document. Name it Koa Planting Reflection. Write 2 paragraphs (at least 8 sentences each) about your experience planting koa. First paragraph describe what you learned about Koa from Uncle Eli (how to plant, how it grows, importance to forest, when he started, etc.). Second paragraph describe other things your learned from Uncle Eli (making choices, ancestors, forests, life, etc.). Remember to include topic and conclusion sentences and details about what he said. Since we did not have a quick quiz during the week of Koa planting, this assignment will be summative (10 points each paragraph).

Expectations for 4/6 – 10

Aloha e na Haumana,

I will not be in class this week because I will be visiting several colleges on the mainland with my daughter. There will be NO HOMEWORK this week. However, by the end of the week you will be expected to complete the following assignments: 1. Cell Division (Worksheet), 2. Cell Division Hand Movements Video, 3. Cell Division Vocabulary (Worksheet), 4. Cell Division Model (Photos), 5. Cell Cycle Online Game (Worksheet). You must complete one assignment before moving to the next. The video and photos must be uploaded to your science google folder. You will be working with your microscope partner this week to accomplish these tasks. Please follow directions and practice malama, hoʻihi and ike pono. Mr Baker will be my substitute and will update me daily about your progress. He will also be sending me the names of students who are not practicing these values in class. We will continue plant cells when I return next week. Have fun learning about cell division and have a great week!
