He Hawai’i Au – Kumu Kawika Eyre and Uncle Brook Parker

On Monday, October 30, 2017, the 7th grade classes were able to learn from Kumu Kawika and Uncle Brook.  They are the author and artist of the book: Kamehameha in addition to their other work in their repertoire.  The mana’o and mo’olelo they shared today awakens in each of us a challenge to be proud of who we are as Hawaiians and to remember those that came before us so that those who come after us will continue to carry on our rich history, language and culture.  Mahalo for coming to be with us today!  Students, please take time to add your comments about what you learned, liked and connected with as you listened to our speakers today.  What can you do to carry on the legacy that our chiefs and relatives of long ago valued.
