The koa symbolizes integrity. Many years are invested in the maturity of the koa tree and its worth grows with its maturity. The Hawaiian value associated with koa is hō‘ihi (respect). Integrity grows out of respect for self and others, and knowing what is right and doing it. We envision a community of respectful learners who develop into people of integrity.
