The deputation team ministers to local churches by leading worship services.  In order to prepare the students for this kuleana, they need to be trained on the spiritual theme for the year and understand what it is they are doing and how to do it.  For this year’s spiritual theme, see the home page of this blog- http://blogs.ksbe.edu/klwong

At the beginning of each school year, the Deputation Teams from the three campuses gather together to go through this experience as one.  This provides a consistent message and helps spread out the teaching among the three chaplains.  The culminating event of the weekend together is the leading of service in one or more of the local churches.
