Ohana Alert for the Week of Nov. 3-7

Here’s a copy of an email I received from Cade on Thursday night!  I just had to share it with all of you…it so represents that students are great teachers too!

Mrs. Ah Hee,
I was exploring the camera app when I found a cool thing called time elapse. This is when you take a video and then it shows the whole thing about two notches faster. I was playing around with it and I figured out that it is good for when you are drawing things. This is because it shows the whole process of drawing in a few seconds. Here is my exploration on time elapse.

November is already here!  Trimester #1 is oFISH!cially over and we’re diving into Trimester #2!

IXL skills that you may select from Nov. on:  L.1-L.5; M.1-M.15 In order to try to accommodate  students/ohana afternoon schedules, students are responsible for completing 7 skills by the end of the month 🙂  I will not be assigning skills as homework.  You choose, but watch your timeline 🙂

Mon., Nov. 3-Day 6: iPads will be updated today!  Please save your important files, projects, photos, notes, etc. to ebackpack or to google drive before the update at approx. 11:30am.

Wed., Nov. 5-Day 2: It will be a monumental day for Papa ‘Elima!  We will be skypeing with the crew of Høküle’a today!

*Reminder to all:  7 IXL skills are due at the end of every month!  You choose from the list of skills and master 7.  All of the skills are review.  New reading goals will be set this week as well as 9 genres for the trimester!  Continue to swim strong and read, read, read!  On our way to 1,000,000 words per student!  🙂
