Hōkuleʻa…The Voyage Continues for the 5B FISH!

Blessed!  The 5B FISH! Had the opportunity this week to visit the Hōkuleʻa on their homecoming to Moku o Keawe…The keiki boarded the waʻa & were able to feel the past voyages, feel the presence of all the cultures it embraced around the world, and feel the mana of our culture.  Mama Hōkuleʻa shared aloha with the world while sharing & proving the great voyaging skills of our kupuna as she circumnavigated the world!

Today, our K-12 Kamehameha Schools-Hawaiʻi haumāna were honored & humbled to hoʻokipa the first waʻa crew of 1976 to campus with an official awa ceremony.  Hereʻs some FISH! Food for Thought… ʻAnakala Kimoʻs manaʻo ~ “We are all currently on our own journeys…we need to be trained to be observant. Always safety. We all carry an unseen compass- itʻs our morals and ethics…when that compass is set and strong, it is only then will the natural elements be seen by you to get you to your destination….”

Imua Hōkuleʻa, Imua Kamehameha!
